Debate has existed for thousands of years. It is an activity that can turn commoners into kings, give voice to the voiceless, and make the wise appear foolish. The great Greek philosopher Heroclitus once stated, "All is flux, nothing is stationary." In a time where the world appears to be changing with increased rapidity, it is important to determine a way to view the world. We each approach life with our own lens of understanding or Paradigm. The dialectic activity of debate is one way to create and test our Paradigm. This site is dedicated to the great debaters and orators of the past who have provoked our minds to change. And to the emerging debaters and orators of the present, who will continue in their tradition of excellence while shaping the future to come.
